FERNACE is forged by the creative fire within our team — a collective of seasoned professionals, proven collaborators, and insightful visionaries. Together, we craft compelling work designed to inspire connection, spark growth, and create lasting impact across any audience.
Fernando “Fern” Yovera, founder of FERNACE, was born in 1987 in Lima, Peru. His path into design and marketing began in 2013 as a marketing assistant at a local wellness center, where his creative insight and drive for communication quickly stood out. Drawing on a multidisciplinary background in Fine Arts, photography, and political science, Fern soon joined Florida International University’s Student Health Services (FIU Health) at the Biscayne Bay Campus, where he led creative direction for health campaigns and community initiatives that strengthened engagement and visibility across the university.
In 2016, Fern joined ACR Electronics, Inc., where he advanced from Graphic Designer to Creative & Design Manager. In this role, he led visual strategy and creative development for ACR and its global portfolio of brands — including Ocean Signal, United Moulders Limited, ARTEX, and Bivy. His leadership helped shape brand consistency, elevate design standards, and expand ACR’s global presence year over year. He also played a pivotal role in launching ACR’s eCommerce initiatives, overseeing multiple website redesigns, global PR media integration, product launches, and marketing campaigns. Throughout his tenure, Fern contributed to 25+ international product launches and supported projects that earned multiple industry awards, including the METS DAME and MIBS Innovation Award.
Building on more than a decade of creative and strategic experience, Fern founded FERNACE, a design and marketing studio dedicated to forging unified, forward-thinking solutions. The agency embodies his belief in client-driven vision, innovative collaboration, and tech-efficient creativity that deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
Beyond his professional achievements, Fern’s worldview has been profoundly shaped by his upbringing. The son of a political strategist and journalist, he witnessed firsthand Peru’s pivotal moments in democracy — from the 2001 and 2011 Presidential Elections to the 2007 Ica earthquake, which displaced tens of thousands. His artistic and historical awareness was further influenced by the 1992 autogolpe (self-coup), which forced his family — along with many journalists and political dissidents — into exile.
Now based in Miami, Florida, Fern continues to merge art, history, and communication in his work. Since 2010, his art has been exhibited in both Peru and the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida International University.
